History
Bored At The Weekend - A fully revised and updated history. Well it’s going to be updated.
So, you want to know about Bored At The Weekend do you? Well it’s certainly an interesting story, so make yourself comfortable, and I will begin…
Bored At The Weekend was founded way back in the dark dark days of 3rd year, around the time of the French Trip. In the weeks leading up to the trip, we were having a very deep conversation, which went something like this:
Andy: Would a bottle of coke explode if you put it in the hold of a plane?
Sam: Hmm…I dunno, I suppose it would
Gregg: Haha that would be so funny if it did
Damian: *agrees*
Manshe: No..don’t do that you idiots
After not giving the matter very much thought, we took the stoke coke as hand baggage, and thus had to drag it around Paris all day. This was certainly preferable to having a suitcase full of clothes covered in stoke coke though. That would just have been awful.
During the French Trip, other events took place, which although not directly connected to bored at the weekend, can certainly be counted as leading up to it. Things like setting Sam on fire, having pink hair for a few days, setting birds on fire and harassing gypsies (Sam anyway..).
Upon our safe return from France, we were presented with the prospect of two weeks without school. Quite how it happened is still a mystery, but it happened that Andy and Steve had a free house and a few bottles of 14p stoke coke, and so we proceeded to destroy it by various methods. The whole thing was recorded, but sadly said video has long been since lost, except this one little snippet which will you can see right here. One of the funniest things ever at the time.
And when I’m in the right sort of mood, I’ll write the rest.
